The Québécois language of the signs (carrying the abbreviation LSQ ) is a Langue of the signs used with the Canada; especially in the province of the Quebec even if it is found also a little in certain cities in the remainder of the country.

The LSQ is between the American Langue of the signs and the French Langue of the signs. Had with a separation of the kinds in the training for the deaf or deaf people , the men and the women uses a form somewhat different from the LSQ. The form that the women use is more influenced by the American language of the signs and the form which the men use, by the French language of the signs. The anglophone Inhabitants of Quebec more generally learn the American language of the signs and it is useless for them to know both.

About 10% of the Québécois population are deaf or deaf; it is estimated that only 50.000 to 60.000 children use the LSQ like Native tongue.
