Québécie is a Roman " utopique" of Francine Lachance
According to Anne Staquet, the Québécie is a Utopie of a new kind, which, after the anti-Utopias, takes account of their criticism, that it even radicalizes, and answers it by a Utopia which avoids the defects clearly that one could reproach this kind (often wrongly besides):
“Québécie thus manages to avoid the pitfalls of the traditional Utopias by solving their difficulties. She even manages to criticize well those beyond what the anti-Utopias do. She is nevertheless a Utopia insofar as she answers completely the two functions of those, namely criticism of the company and the introduction of an ideal world. ” subversive Utopia or fictions , p. 160.
