QCad is a software of Dessin computer-assisted in two dimensions. It functions at the same time under Linux, Solaris, Mac OS and Microsoft Windows.
Formats used
The native format of QCad is the interchange format DXF invented by Autodesk (
AutoCAD). The software can also export images, in particular with the formats png and JPG.
License of the software
The sources of QCad are placed under the
public License general GNU. Nevertheless, to compile it a
library requires which is not placed under license GNU LPG. The company Ribbon Software, creator of the software, sells the compiled files of the program. The program is thus free under
Linux because it is compiled and put out of package by the principal deposits and paying under Windows.
