History
QDOS is the name of work of 86-DOS, a Operating system owner developed and sold by the company Seattle Computer Products for their kits based on the processor Intel 8086. Its structure of orders and its Application program interface are compatible with those of CP/M what facilitated the bearing of the applications of one system to the other. Tim Paterson is the principal author and denied to be inspired of the code of CP/M to write it. In 1980, Microsoft could conclude an agreement with IBM for the supply from the Operating system of the future IBM PC, PC-DOS. Microsoft then repurchased QDOS in Seattle Computer Products and famous MS-DOS has it. Bill Gates employed Tim Paterson the time of the migration. This last was charged to adapt it to the material IBM PC.
