Python is a Russian course of Montagnes out of metal located at the Amusement park Dutch Efteling.

With Python , known Efteling some legal concern. On its arrival, many people wanted to make stop the project for various reasons (ecology, noise pollutions,…)

In 1981, attraction is finally open, it will undergo some modifications in order to reduce the noise and thus to obtain an authorization for night openings.

In 2005, the trains were changed by the new ones of the manufacturer Kumbak.

The course is composed of a rise with chain of 29 meters, then of a descent of 22 meters followed directly of two Looping S. Ensuite a passage with two Corkscrew S then a helical descent to finish.

Accident

July 30th, 2007, following a problem, the train was blocked in the last part of the rise. The safety straps were open in order to make evacuate the train by the footbridge of safety and, whereas the train was almost empty, it went back moving and failed to carry with him one of the operators of the attraction retained of accuracy by one of his colleagues. The people still in attraction had the reflex to position back their harness and final to the any casualty is not to be regretted.
