Pyramids (Disc-world)
Pyramides (subtitle the Book of the Exit ) is the seventh book of Annals of the Disc-world of the writer English Terry Pratchett. Translated by Patrick Couton, it was published in France in 1996 at Atalante (ISBN 2-84172-026-8) and in 2000 at Pocket (ISBN 2-266-09971-X). Original work was published in 1989 under the title Pyramids .
Synopsis
Teppic leaves graduate the Guild of the Assassins of Ankh-Morpork and turns over in its country, the kingdom of the Jolhimôme, to succeed his/her father, late Pharaon.
The phantom of his/her father tries to render comprehensible to him that it is necessary to cease construction of the pyramids, which ruin the country, but under the influence of the large Dios priest, Teppic makes build the largest pyramid ever carried out, which destabilizes time and dimensions.
