Pyramid of Qakarê-Ibi
The pyramid of Qakarê-Ibi is of type face smoothes and is located at the south of Saqqarah between the Mastaba of Chepseskaf and the pyramid of Pépi {{II}}. It was set up during the first intermediate period and has the characteristic to be the last Pyramide with texts. It does not remain today any more of this small pyramid only one ground monticule.
The pyramid
This one consisted of a stone solid mass surrounding and supporting a filled core of various materials. A corridor tilted of 25 degrees and sealed by a granite harrow gave access the vault. The funerary room, whose very simple plan is similar to that of the pyramids of and, is in the center of the core. An imposing granite sarcophagus is still located in this room and is embedded in three of the four walls of this one. A wholesale coating blocks of limestone of Tourah, broad, was five meters to cover this solid mass but there remain nothing about it. In spite of the state of decay of its infrastructures, the pyramid could delivered important fragments of a funerary text commonly called text of the pyramids.
Funerary texts
Gustave Jéquier, at the time of its excavations at the beginning of the 20th century, could reconstitute the four walls of the funerary room and the overall plan of the text. The plan is similar to that of the pyramids of the queens of the complex of Pépi {{II}}. The signs are engraved in hollow and have a quality of very average execution.
