Pylade
In the Greek Mythology, Pylade (in Greek old Πυλάδης / Pyládês ) is wire of Strophios, the king of Phocide, and nephew of Agamemnon.
Myth
Pylade is high with his/her first cousin Oreste. This last was collected by Strophios after the murder of his/her Agamemnon father. The friendship which links the two heroes is so faithful that it will become proverbial.
Pylade is one of the instigators of the murder of his aunt Clytemnestre; but it does not give up his friend when this one, after having killed his/her Clytemnestre mother, is struck of insanity and is continued by the Érinyes. It is rewarded by its devotion: Oreste, become king of Argos, grants his/her sister Electra to him, of whom it has two wire: Médon and Strophios.
