Pyinbya († 878) is a sovereign of the Royaume of Pagan, in current the Myanmar. Chief of the village of Tampawadi (today Pwasaw), it founded the town of Bagan in 849 by joining together 19 villages behind a common enclosure, of which some parts remain today, as the door of the East (Sharabhâ).

His/her Tannet son succeeded to him.
