The pycnogonides are small animals (often lower than the centimetre) with segmented flat bodies equipped with 8 legs. They are provided with a horn (bulbous or cylindrical) sometimes supplemented by a pair of chélicères. They live close to the littoral, generally on Bryozoaire S, Hydraires or red algas.
