Puy of Like
The Puy of As is a top of the Chaîne of Puys, it culminates to 1.252 Mr.
The slopes of this old Volcan of the Strombolian type are covered with well aligned wood-cuttings, planted by the man, who make it recognize by far. It is a basaltic cone almost perfect. It has, like the Puy de Pariou, two craters encased with practically the same axis. Its volume is approximately 190 million cubic meters. Its castings of Lava, called cheires , are most important of all the volcanic chain. Its Lave is descended to the town of Pontgibaud and the river the Sioule, affluent of left bank Allier, obliging it to create a new bed. Castings of the Puy of Like being superimposed on the wire of the successive eruptions, reach thickness a 130 m measured at the time of a survey carried out to 1,5 km of the Volcan.
