Puy d\' Issolud

The site of the Puy d' Issolud , in the Batch, close to Vayrac and Saint-Denis-the-Martel, was endorsed, on April 26th, 2001 by a commission of Ministry for the Culture as being Uxellodunum. A press conference held with Toulouse by Michel Vaginay (Preserving with the Regional Service of Archeology in Toulouse) and Christian Goudineau (professor at the Collège de France) ensured that this site was well that of the last seat of the resistance of Gaulois to the armies of Jules César. This fortified town belonged to the Cadurques. Its catch marked the end of the Guerre of Gaules in 52 av. J. - C.,
