Pushmataha
Pushmataha ( Push-My-Your-ha ) (1764 - December 24th, 1824) was a warrior and an Amerindian chief of the people Choctaw.
Born towards 1764 in current the the Mississippi, Pushmataha is a respected warrior when it fights the Osages and the Caddoes.
He becomes chief of his nation in 1805. Pushmataha supports the the United States of America against Tecumseh which wants to integrate Choctaws in its confederation.
Later, he is opposed to the Creek S Red Sticks under the orders of William Weaterford and fights during the Guerre of 1812 against the British Empire. During his service in the US Army, one gives him the name of General Indian .
Member of the large delegation of the Indiennes tribes which goes has Washington DC in 1824, it meets the general Fayette at the time of the triumphal return of this last in America.
Remaining with the Hotel Tennison, on Pennsylvania Avenue, he dies abruptly of an affection of the throat the December 24th 1824.
Its funeral praise is pronounced with the Sénat of the United States of America and it is buried with the cemetery of the Congress.
