In chemistry, a pure substance is composed of only one standard of component (contrary: a Mixture). There exist several types of pure substances, which can be, according to the experimental conditions of Température and Pression, under the three physical statuses: Solid, Liquid or Gas them.

Simple pure substance

Constitutional body of Atom S of only one kind, associated or not in Molecule S.

Examples:

  • Copper: Cu (elementary element)
  • Dihydrogène: H2 (G)

Made up pure substance

Body formed starting from atoms of several kinds.
