Punk art
The punk art is a kind of Punk artistic, experimental, or of avant-garde. This denomination primarily popular and is used in English language with the expression “Punk arty”, especially by thecritical ones.
Characteristics
The term of Punk Art (Punk arty) indicates groups Punk rock'n'roll of avant-garde which were perceived in 1977 and afterwards like an original form and provocant more refined Punk movement. Punk Art gathers styles active of the rock'n'roll-fusion of Patti Smith, Beat generation with the punk electronics preindustrial of the group suicide. Some groups of punk Art integrate elements of cabaret or artistic performances, whereas others can incorporate Blues, of Jazz, Folk or are influenced by the Dadaïsme or the Situationnisme or the German Expressionisme (Graphics, Fanzines, Look 77). So of many groups of punk Art are compared to the Post-punk or with the New Yorkean No wave, they generally have a more energetic sound. The members of the groups of punk Art frequently come from the schools of art or are artists and poets.
History
Punk art find its origins stylistics in groups like The Velvet Underground, The Doors and to a lesser extent Rocket from the Tombs. New York is the city usually and typically associated with punk Art.After the development of the movement Punk, towards 1977, much of groups fought to develop a new musical model. Some groups were founded with an extremely populist ideology. Some of these groups believed that the punk one was to be simple, probably so that no matter who can play this music. It was the case for example Ramones, Sham 69 and of the Sex Pistols. In same time, much of punks groups evolved to a more complex music with new instruments, such as the synthetizer (Wire, Talking Heads, Suicide…).
The majority of the groups of punk art are often classified like post-punk, although groups like Suicide or Television existed before even them Ramones. The influence of these group is prolonged beyond the borders of the punk music.
