Punk Ska
The ska punk is a Musical genre based on a rhythmic rock'n'roll (binary). It is characterized primarily by the use of guitars alternating passages to hitch (typical of the Reggae and the Ska) and passages in distortion played in the style Punk (generally at the time of the refrains). The use of coppers, especially trumpets, saxophones and/or trombones, is frequent.
History
Ska and the Punk one were combined for the first time during the movement Two-Ton with the beginning of the year 70 by groups such as The Specials, The Selecter and The Beat. But the style was spread during the years 80 in Europe with the Madness group whereas with the the United States it is with the beginning of the year 90 that the style was made known in particular by the sound of NOFX at the time of arrived of El Hefe in the group. Today the most popular groups are No Doubt and Less Than Jake whereas the Spanish group Ska-P had an important popularity in Europe and in South America.
