A legend says that Jeanne d' Arc would not have died not burned but would have been replaced by another woman on roughing-hew it and that it would be buried in the chorus of the church.

An inscription as old French in red letters carrying his initial is visible on one of the walls of the chorus side Sacristie.

Another legend says that Jeanne d' Arc would have married Robert of Armoises and that it would have finished her days with Autrey close to Pulligny.
