Pulkovo Airlines is a Russian airline company based with the International airport Pulkovo. It was creates in 1933 and belonged to AITA since 2001. It belongs to the principal companies Russian.
History

This company bears the name of the city from where it operates: village and observatory of Pulkovo. It was created the June 24th, 1932 at the time of the landing of two planes coming from Moscow on the aerodrome lately built of Chosseïnaïa (in Russian Шоссейная) in the south of Leningrad. The traffic intensified quickly and in 1939 the airport of Chosseïnaïa served 29 destinations. The number of transported passengers was of 6305. Transported freight represented 708 tons, plus 333 tons of mail.

the airport took the name of Pulkovo at the end of the years 1950. Its two terminals are so distant one from the other which one can consider that they are in fact two distinct airports. Pulkovo Airlines carried delivered Aeroflot until the order to change some was given in 1997 to avoid any confusion.

the August 22nd, 2006 by flying over the Ukraine: a Tupolev You-154 of Pulkovo Airlines ensuring flight FV 612 between Saint-Pétersbourg and Anapa is crushed close to the Russian border making 170 dead.
