Geography
History
A castle was built by the queen Constance of Arles, then in fight against his/her son Henri Ier. This one carried it attack, and joins together it with the royal field. Benefitting from the disorders due to the minority of Philippe Ier, a junior by the House of Breteuil, Hugues Ier Blavons seized some. He and its successors behaved like lords brigands, plundering the Chartres-native country. Beauce being located at the limit of the field managed by the king of France, Louis VI there faced in 1111 its vassal plunderer, Hugues III of Puiset and shaved the castle. Today the mound of the old castle is always visible.
