Puffin of Audubon
The puffin of Audubon ( Puffinus lherminieri ) is a pelagic marine bird with night manners.
It passes the essence of its life at sea and comes to ground only the night, to reproduce. For that it gathers in colonies, preferentially on islands and small islands in hot seas.
The species was named thus by Rene-Primula Lesson in the honor of the famous ornithologist Jean-Jacques Audubon.
