Publy is a common French, located in the department of the the Jura and the area Franche-Comté.
Geography
Publy is a village located on the first Jurassic plate, in the east of the town of
Lons-the-Salt maker. The altitude of the village of Publy is approximately 550 m, however on the Coast of Euthe, one belongs by place to altitudes to 650m. The Coast of Euthe is a rising which crosses the first
plate of the the Jura. This village has a last rich person. The common one has on its surface two ruins of Château X strong, the castle of Binan and the castle of Beauregard which made it possible to control the valley of the Ain.
Only the third castle was renovated. This one is drawn up with the right in the middle of the village.
The commune of Publy has a Hameau named Binan; it is located has 2km in the east of Publy. Binan is nested with the foot of the Coast of Euthe. The ruins of the castle of Binan dominate and scatter the sight that one has since the hamlet.

Demography
Economy
Considering the extent of the cultivable surface of the commune, there remain several farmers in activity; one will note the presence of two GAEC on the territory of Publy.
Publy has the many ones and important forests, which explains the presence of local small companies related to wood: wood turner, carpenter, cabinetmaker.
The fruitère could not negotiate the passage to the European standards, and the co-operative for the manufacture of the cheese thus sold the fruit-bearing one which is henceforth an individual housing.

- Church Saint Nicolas () located on the locality the walk, which is in fact a wooded hill of large trees, located at the center of the village. The roof of the church Saint Nicolas east made up of Roofing stone (stone), one also says in " lave".
