Publius Licinius Crassus Dives (death in -183) was a politician of the Roman République.

Its ascent is not clear. One does not know either his mother. Nothing of his childhood either is known.

In 212 av. J. - C., it is elected Pontifex maximus until its death, whereas both other candidate, Titus Manlius Torquatus (a patrician) and Quintus Fulvius Flaccus (a plébien), are already critics and more experienced and old that him.

In 211 av. J. - C., as aediles curulis it organizes splendid plays.

In 210 av. J. - C., it is critic and gives his resignation to dead of his/her colleague critic, without having to begin the least reform (lustrum). In 208 av. J. - C., it is Préteur.

In 205 av. J. - C., like Consul, it blocks Hannibal Barca in the north of Italy in Bruttium, which does not prevent Hannibal from beating it. Being sick, he asks that a dictator be named to continue the war.

In 204 av. J. - C., it is named prefect by the senate, this time Ci, it is him, which beats Hannibal.

Thanks to its knowledge in jurisprudence it was very respected. Its death in 183 av. J. - C. was celebrated with ostentation (meal for the people, plays).
