In France, the principal publishers are, by decreasing order of importance of their annual turnover: Hachette Livre (2 billion euros), which belongs to the Groupe Lagardere, Editis (776 million euros), which belongs to the group Wendel Investissement, Media-Participations (309 million euros), Martinière Groupe (260 million euros), Flammarion (238 million euros), subsidiary of the group Italy N RCS MediaGroup, Gallimard (221 million euros), and Albin Michel (212 million euros). More recent companies know a strong growth, like the editions Actes Sud or Sun Productions.
