Public transport rouennais
Public transport rouennais .
The agglomeration rouennaise presents two principal geographical difficulties for the construction and the exploitation of a joint grid system:
- the crossing of the the Seine, which was always carried out by dividing the roadway of the bridges built for the motor vehicle traffic.
- the presence, on Right Bank, of important rises requiring in the rather sloping ways, which can handicap the development of the conventional rail-bound transport. Rouen, in the past, tried out the Funiculaire, and a project of urban cable car was even evoked before the construction of the network of bus in exclusive right of way. The new railway station will be soon on left bank in Saint-Sever, near the Clemenceau course.
