Canada

With the Canada, the public prosecutor is the title carried by the Minister for justice (in English Attorney General ). There are a public prosecutor at the federal level and public prosecutors in each province.

France

In France, a public prosecutor seat near the course of call, or near the Court of appeal or of the Court of Auditors. The phrase appoints in this case the magistrate who directs the continuations or the public charge, in opposition to the members of the formations of judgment. More precisely, the public prosecutors of the courses of calls are the hierarchically superiors of the public prosecutors, of which they coordinate the action.

The United States

The Attorney General of the United States ( United States Attorney General ) is not a Procureur, it is member of the Cabinet of the president of the United States, it is the equivalent of the Minister for justice. It is the United States Solicitor General which is in fact the Public prosecutor, charged to argue for the Government in front of the Supreme court of the United States, when the government left to the lawsuit. He off works within the United States Department Justice and is named by the President and is confirmed by the Sénat.
