The Public ministry , also called “Parquet floor” or “state prosecutors” (because they rise for their indictment), exerts a mission of safeguard of the general interests of the company in front of the courts.

The magistrates composing this body are charged to take care of the respect of the law: they do not have the role of taking care of the private interests of such or such litigant but of those of the whole community while requiring the application of the law which is the expression.
