Public Broadcasting Service ( PBS ) is a network with nonlucrative goal of 349 stations of Télévision to the the United States. Its head office is with Alexandria in Virginia.

PBS was founded in 1969 by taking again the role of its predecessor the National Educational Television (NET). The diffusion began in October 1970.

One of its founders is Jack Wrather.
