Ptolémée XV Philopator Caesar , known as Césarion , is the son of Cléopâtre {{VII}} and supposed Jules César. Born towards -47, or -44, it controls Egypt with his/her mother (-44/-30). Ptolémée appears on a relief of Dendérah in company of this one.
Césarion is assassinated very young person (15/17 years) by Auguste, first emperor of Rome. According to certain theories, this one would not have admitted that the male descent of Cléopâtre survives.
According to these same theories, Auguste would have made assassinate Alexandre Hélios (born in -40 /disparu since -30) and Ptolémée Philadelphe (born in -36 /disparu since -30) however leaving the life to the binocular of Alexandre Hélios, Cléopâtre Séléné (-40/6), all three born from the union of Marc Antoine and Cléopâtre.
However, according to Appien and Pausanias, the half-brothers of Césarion are high with Cléopâtre Séléné by Octavie, sister of Octave, ex-wife of Marc Antoine and mother of their two half-sisters Antonia Elder the and Antonia the Young person, and lived some time with their sister and their brother-in-law Juba {{II}} before their trace is lost.
The relationship between Octave, the future Auguste, wire adoptive of Jules César, and Césarion was different: this last was his/her adoptive brother, and thus a direct political rival.
With him, disappear the Pharaonic dynasties, since the Roman occupation of Egypt succeeds to him.
The redécouverte of this period ostentation of Pharaonic Egypt was done only after the Expédition of Egypt of Napoleon Bonaparte, accompanied by many scientists and archeologists in 1798.
