Ptolémée Évergète 1st (-284/-222) is a Pharaon of the period lagide. He controlled Egypt of -246 with -222.
Its epithet is Évergète, the benefactor. Wire of Ptolémée {{II}} Philadelphe and of Arsinoé {{Anger}}, it married Bérénice {{II}}, heiress of the kingdom of Cyrène.
He undertook the third war of Syria, to avenge the assassination for Bérénice Syra, his sister, by Laodice first wife of Antiochos {{II}} which had divorced it to marry Bérénice.
By this victory it had territorial compensations in Thrace, in Syria, Asia Mineure and Égée.
His/her son Ptolémée {{IV}} succeeded to him.
