Pteroclididae
see also: Etymology of Pteroclididae
The family of the ptéroclididés (or Pteroclididae ) includes/understands the ganga S and the Syrrhapte S, birds terrestrial of intermediate size (from 24 to 40 cm), resembling superficially the Perdrix and the Pigeon S. They have the short nozzle, a small head, long wings and short legs with emplumé tarsus; the toes are sometimes covered with feathers. One finds them in Africa and Asia, like in Spain and in the south of France. They live in opened mediums, generally in arid or semi-arid areas.
