Psykup

Psykup is a group French of metal originating in Toulouse.

Formed in 1995, this group will be inspired at the beginning by Strapping Young Lad, Primus and Alice in Chains. However Psykup wishes to make metal differently, to mix the styles: one finds besides in their music of the pop influences and groove. Gradually, Psykup approached other groups of the scene metal Frenchwoman like Gojira and Sleepers. The very worked voice of the singer recalls to some the style System off has Down.

Psykup is member of the collective Antistatic (which also gathers in its center Leiden, Sidilarsen, Mary Slut and Delicatessen). After a EP entitled Leave the head appeared in 2000, the group leaves a true album in 2002, the Time of the Reflection . Assembly of compositions resulting from various times, the album however allures, the critic like the public metal. In 2004 appears Acoustiques, vidéos live, remixes , EP of scarcities which marks the bond between its predecessor and the Shade and the Prey , new album left to him in February 2005.

The group announces the exit of a new album which with a dvd on their turned like D different will be surprised for February-March 2008
