Psychic TV

Psychic TV is a British group, founded in 1981, in Hackney, by Genesis P-Orridge, Peter “Sleazy” Christopherson (both ex- Throbbing Gristle) and Alex Fergusson.

The first piece of the group is “Just Drifting”, composed by Fergusson on a poem of GP-O, is a pop ballade, well far from the electronic experiments and bruitists of TG. Their first album at WEA is called off Force the hand chance . Genesis P-Orridge found the expression “Industrial Music” to qualify the kind illustrated by “Throbbing Gristle”, at the time of a conversation with his/her friend artist Monte Cazazza. Since, Psychic TV knew departures and arrived members, and many changes. Genesis P-Orridge has been the first British citizen condemned to the exile for one century, from where its installation in the United States. In 2004, the group made a round in Europe under name PTV3, and Genesis P-Orridge continues its experiments under the name Thee Majesty. Genesis P-Orridge found in 2004 his/her three playmates of TG (Chris, Cosey and Sleazy), initially in round, then in studio, to record in 2006 at Mute the album more awaited industrial planet since 25 years: " Two leaves: The Endless Not".
