Provisional Irish Republican Army
The Irish Republican Army known as " provisional " (in English: Provisional Irish Republican Army , or PIRA : generally indicated under the name of , the " WILL GO; Provos " - in Gaelic: Óglaigh Na hÉireann ) is a paramilitary organization republican E and Irish of left, which, until the Accord of the Good Friday, sought to finish some with the statute of the Northern Ireland within the the United Kingdom and to create plain Ireland. Since its appearance in 1969, its declared goal is the inversion of Irish Republic and Northern Ireland their replacement and by a state sovereign Socialiste on all the island of Ireland ( Eire NUA : New Ireland ).
The organization is classified like a group illegal Terroriste in the United Kingdom and in Irish Republic. However it is not currently enumerated like terrorist organization with the the United States by the State Department.
WILL GO sees itself as a continuation of the Irish Republican Army (the Armée with the Irish Republic 1919-1921) which fought during the Guerre of independence of Ireland.
July 28th, 2005, the Council of army of WILL GO announced the end of its armed campaign, informant that WILL SUIT it would work to carry out its objectives by using “programs purely political and democratic by exclusively peaceful means” and that the “volunteers of WILL GO must engage in no other activity unspecified”.
As all the other organizations which were also called WILL GO, the Provisionals refer, during their public advertisements and of the internal discussions, as a Óglaigh Na hÉireann (literally " Voluntary of Ireland "), the title official Gaelic of the Irish Defense forces. However, the Irish Republic does not recognize their use of this title.
