Province of Sagami
Sagami (相模国; - No kuni) is an old province of the Japan which was in an area which is today the Préfecture of Kanagawa, by excluding Yokohama and Kawasaki. The province of Sagami was surrounded by the provinces of Izu, Kai, Musashi and Suruga.
The old provincial capital was located close to the current city of Hiratsuka. For the Sengoku period, the most important castle of the province was with Odawara. The province was often directed by the lords of the province close to Musashi.
