Province of Pennsylvania

The Province of Pennsylvania , better known of the Americans under the name of colony of Pennsylvania, was one of the Thirteen colonies English of North America. It was rested by the English Quaker William PEN on March 4th 1681. This name comes from the patronym of the father of William and the Latin word sylvania , meaning “forest”.
