Province of Parma
Italian province, in the area of Emilie-Romagna. The provincial capital is Parma.
Geography
The province is divided into three zones which go from north to the south: plains, hills and mountain. The part more in north made up of a large plain is bordered by the river Po. The principal urban centres of the zones of hills and mountain are located along the courses of the principal rivers, which go down from the the Apennines running out of the south to north and throwing themselves in Po. The most important rivers are the Taro, the Parma and the Baganza which thrown in Parma near the place chief.
