The province of Namur is a Walloon Province of Belgium.
It is now the Walloon region which organizes the local authorities which are the provinces.
The governor of the province is Denis Mathen (oath-taking the January 8th 2007). He is the twentieth governor and the first indicated by the Walloon Gouvernement. Its predecessor is Amand Dalem.
The province has as a chief town Namur, which is the capital of the Walloon region. Its surface is of: 3666 km ², for: 458574 inhabitants. In addition to Namur, its main cities are Dining, Philippeville, Gembloux and Andenne. The province counts 38 communes distributed in three administrative districts.
The culminating point of the province is located at 505 meters with the top of the sea level and is located at the Cross-Scaille.
