The province of Melgar is one of the 13 provinces which compose the Région of Puno to the Peru. It is limited
- to north by the Province of Carabaya,
- in the east by the Province of Azángaro,
- in the south by the Province of Phosphoresced,
- in the west by the Région of Cuzco.
