Province of Lauricocha

The province of Lauricocha is one of the 11 Province S which compose the Région of Huánuco to the Peru. It is limited

  • to north by the Province of Back of Mayo and the Province of Yarowilca,
  • in the east by the Province of Huánuco and the Province of Ambo,
  • in the south by the Région of Pasco,
  • in the west by the Région of Lima and the Région of Ancash.

The province has a surface of 1.880,13 square kilometers and is divided into 7 districts.

Population

The population of the province was estimated at 37.390 inhabitants in 2002 (INEI).

The capital of the province is the town of Jesús .
