Province of Jaén

Jaén is a Province south of the Spain, in the part in the east of the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is bordered by the provinces of Cordoue, Ciudad Real, Albacete, and Grenade. Its capital is Jaén.

Its surface is of 13  484 km ². its population is 647  387 (2002), whose sixth lives in the capital for a density of 48,01/km ². There is 97 municipalities. See List of the municipalities of Jaén.

Although it is one of the provinces of Spain the least attended by the tourists there are several places of interest including four national parks and two cities rebirth, Úbeda and Baeza.

The annual contest of failures of Linares attracts several of the best world players.

Jaén is the largest world producer of Olive oil.
