Province of Huancayo

The province of Huancayo is one of the 9 provinces which compose the Région of Junín to the Peru.

It is limited

  • to north by the Province of Concepción,
  • in the east by the Provincia de Satipo,
  • in the south by the Région of Huancavelica,
  • in the west by the Province of Chupaca.

Population

The population of the province was estimated at 476  456 inhabitants in 2002.

Capital

The capital of the province is the town of Huancayo which is also the capital of the area.
