Language and teaching
Most of the population is Slovenien and the Slovenien is thus a rather widespread language in the province. The native tongue of the inhabitants is mainly the Italian but a quarter of the inhabitants have as a native tongue the Frioulan and 7,4% the Slovenien (the highest proportion of the area for the Slovenien ). The two minority communities see their “protected” languages and the Italian State wishes that their culture be also prévervée. In this province, there exist about fifteen schools whose language of teaching is the Slovenien (with the Italian programs) except for the language classes Italian. The Frioulan is sometimes taught there.
