Province of Cagliari

The province of Cagliari is a Italian province, whose chief town is Cagliari, it is one of the eight provinces of the autonomous region of Sardinia.

The province of Cagliari was redécoupée by a law of 2001 entry in application on May 9th, 2005 (and counts from now on 60 communes).

It corresponds about to old the Judicat of Calaris, old name of Cagliari.

Provincial elections of the May 8th and 9th 2005

Although the province and the capital of the area are generally regarded as marked on the right, the final results are the following:

- president of the area, presented and supported by the Union (which is centered on Olivier, center-left, eleven lists), Graziano Ernesto Milia, member of the Left Democrats, elected with the first turn with 143.992 votes, 51,8%;
- beaten candidates: Mariano Delogu (House of freedoms), 122.936 votes, 44,2%; Matteo Pirina (hunters) 1,0%; Raffaele Angioni (Sardigna Natzione) 0,8%; Elisabetta Pitzurra (Indipendentzia Repubrica de Sardigna) 0,8%; Irene Massed (Woman Project) 0,7%; Antonio Pisano 0,7%.
