The province of Barcelona is a Province located in the North-East of the Spain, in the autonomous community of Catalogne. It is surrounded by the provinces of Tarragone, of Lérida, Gérone and by the Mediterranean.

This province, whose Barcelona is the capital, counted 4  906  117 inhabitants in 2002.
