The province of Badajoz is a Spanish province located in Extrémadure at the south-west of the Spain.

Sometimes, the term Baja Extremadura (" Low-Extrémadure") can be used (in opposition to the other province of Extrémadure (Province of Cáceres) then called Alta Extremadura .
