Province of Awa (Tokushima)

Awa (阿波国; Awa No kuni ) was an old province of the Japan which occupied part of current the Préfecture of Tokushima. It belonged to the six provinces crossed by the road of the Nankaidō. It was bordered by the provinces of Tosa, Sanuki and of Iyo.
