Prototéthys

Ocean of the Paleozoic, formed with the Néoprotérozoïque and closed with the Permian . It was closed again after the terranes of Huns (Craton of Yangtse, sino-Korean, Bassin of Tarim, Southeast Asia) were detached from the Northern margin of Gondwana and entered in collision with Kazakhstania, Sibéria and the Mongolian arc. The last fragment of this ocean was closed again between China of north and Mongolia, in current the Mandchourie and Inner Mongolia.
