The Proto-Mandarin is a term used to indicate an old form of the dialect more spoken about the Chinese Langue, known in French under the name of Mandarin (Guānhuà/官话); technically, it is the spoken language at the time of the end of the Dynastie Song. This " early Mandarin " is at the base of the system of sonority describes by the rhyme dictionary Zhōngyuán Yīnyùn (中原音韻, literally " Sounds and rhymes in the plains centrales") late Dynasty Yuan, used for rimer the Opera of Beijing at that time.
