A prostatitis is a Inflammation of the Prostate, affection frequent at the old man (hypertrophy or benign hyperplasy of the prostate). If the prostate develops too much, it can tighten the Urètre and thus disturb the flow of the Urine, which makes the micturition difficult and painful, even completely impossible in extreme cases. The acute prostatitis can be accompanied by fever, shivers and retention of urine. The person in charge is very often Escherichia coli that the ECBU (examination cytobacteriologic of the urines) will identify and count easily. The chronic prostatitis is often due it also to the proliferation of Escherichia coli , more rarely of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in the event of urogenital tuberculosis, its symptoms are similar to those of the acute but more attenuated form. The prostate being a sexual organ, any affection prostate sufferer inevitably has a repercussion on the intimate life of the men reached. Undoubtedly this for that is that during very a long time, these diseases remained taboo whereas they touch with sexuality and the health of almost 80% of the men of more than 50 years. Their prevention thus starts well before this age!
