Prosper Blanchemain
Jean-Baptist-Prosper Blanchemain , born the July 16th 1816 with Rouen and dead the December 25th with 1879, is a Poète and Critique arts person French.
Prosper Blanchemain studied the right and was accepted laid off in 1838. Attache the same year as writer with the Ministry for the Interior, it then fulfills there, during several years, the functions of librarian. As bibliophile, it provided articles to the Bulletin of the secondhand bookseller and published a rather great number of editions of poets and writers belonging for the majority at the time of the Renaissance. One owes him in particular of the editions, with notes and forewords, of the poetic Œuvres of Vauquelin of Yveteaux, of the poetic Bouquets of Angot of Éperonnière, of the complete Œuvres of Ronsard, of the Élégies of Jean Doublet, of the Satires of of Lorens, of the new Épigrammes of Gombauld, of the Œuvres of Louise Labé, of the Rondeaux and worms of love of Jehan Marion, of Philandre , poem of Maynard; complete Œuvres of Mellin of Saint-Froze, of the Mignardises in love and the Poésies of Jacques Tahureau, with the Foresteries of Vauquelin of Fresnaye, the odious one and bloody murder made by cursed Cain , (1580) tragedy of Thomas the Cock, etc
He also wrote under the Pseudonyme of “Épiphane Sidredoulx”.
